Waving my brushes, HI, at you from my art area in the corner of my tiny apartment.
Somehow, it’s the end of March. The first Saturday of the month is coming up (April 5th.) I’m offering an all new pay what you can workshop.

These workshops allow me to keep my workshops accessible. Thanks for supporting them.
Art is always a conversation. It’s an ongoing dialogue between the present, the past, and the future. I posted the above collection of my work, my “painted vessels” to my blog last week.
I’ve been looking back through my older work and “mining” it, looking for repetition and ideas in:
symbols/images/patterns
color palette
journaling/text
mark making
I’ve been looking to see how I can take my older work and make it, “new” as I’m finding much inspiration in the older work. I don’t want to simply repeat it. I want something different, something fresh.
That’s one of the things I’ve been up to. What about you? What are you working on?
Manet, The Ragpicker (one of my favorite paintings)
I made the time to spend two hours at The Norton Simon for a rare chance to see a Velázquez in person. I share more about the visit and my thoughts about museums as an opportunity to time travel.
